Painting Freely – Interpreting the Landscape Loosely. A One-Day Workshop with Lucy Marks, AROI, ARWS, SWA, CAS


Join contemporary landscape painter Lucy Marks for an inspiring and relaxed one-day workshop set in stunning natural surroundings.

This workshop is all about freedom and expression—you’ll explore ways to interpret the landscape loosely, letting go of detail and embracing bold mark-making and personal style.


The day will begin with a live oil painting demonstration by Lucy, where she’ll share insights into her process and approach. Afterwards, you’ll have the opportunity to work individually in your preferred medium, either outdoors in the landscape or inside the studio space.


Please bring along any reference materials you'd like to use, your own art supplies, and anything else you might need—especially if you plan to work outside. It may be hot, so a hat and water bottle are a good idea.


Lucy will be working in oils, but you're welcome to paint or draw in any medium you prefer. A light lunch will be…
