WINNER OF THE SNA BEST IN SHOW AWARD 2025

Josiane Levitt

Hunter's Treasure

Prize: £250 and the SNA Trophy

Prize Sponsor: The SNA Directors

Judges: The SNA Directors

Judges Comment:

"This artwork was admired by all the Directors for its stunning depiction of a pangolin in a limited colour palette and simple yet stunning composition. It had an almost ethereal glow, with touches of gold highlighting the scales as you moved around the piece. We all felt deeply touched by the defensive posture of the pangolin - being the world's most trafficked animal - it made it all the more impactful."

SNA ARTIVIST AWARD 2025

Benjamin Fallow

This year is our first ever SNA Artivist Award - giving one artist hand-selected by the Directors the opportunity to have a space in our exhibition and show a portfolio of their work. This artist is recognised for their outstanding contribution environmental activism, and their passion for creating beautiful artworks depicting wildlife.

The Southern Nature Art Exhibition is proud to celebrate and showcase Benjamin Fallow. Despite his tender years, Benjamin is already an important voice in the fight to preserve our precious natural spaces and species. This 11 year old loves nothing more than sketching, studying and learning about the natural world around him. His story is inspiring because he touches the imaginations of thousands of enlightened young adults, eager to make a difference to the world.

At Southern Nature Art, we are passionate about nurturing a new generation of artists who are keen to make art about the natural world. This display showed artworks created by year 2 to year 9 students from Boundary Oak School in Fareham.

The students were given the theme of Fragile Earth to learn about environmental issues, and were asked to interpret those themes in their art class. Students of all ages and abilities took part in this project. The public were asked to vote for their favourite piece.
